The MCN-034 Jamb is a 5-1/4" door jamb profile designed to cover the side depth of door and window openings, providing complete coverage from the door leaf edge to the outer wall surface. It offers a stable mounting base for the door leaf while creating a clean finished edge for the opening. Suitable for standard and thickened wall door frame systems in residential and commercial buildings.

Installation Tips

  • It would be well to check the actual wall thickness before putting the item in to make sure the 5-1/4″ dimension is adequate.
  • Place the Jamb into the opening and make certain that the Jamb is plumb and square.
  • Secure with appropriately sized screws or nails into the wall structural layer.
  • Put some expandable foam in the gaps between the jamb and the wall where it’s needed.
  • Apply paint or veneer to the substrate as required to match either interior or exterior finishing techniques.
