  • The wide profile gives the frame sturdy support for installing the door leaf.
  • Very decorative – Fits fully from frame to wall surface. Gives a uniform and deep look.
  • Durable material that won’t warp or deteriorate and will last season after season.
  • Used for thick wall openings in residential, commercial and industrial environments.

Applications

  • Thick exterior walls (including insulation layers) door/window openings
  • Internal walls built with double-layer drywall or light gauge steel stud systems.
  • thick wall openings in commercial buildings and industrial facilities of all types.
  • Retrofitting to match older, thick wall conditions
  • Building entrances requiring wide jamb trim

Installation Tips

  • Check the actual wall width before installing – 12″ may be too narrow for some stud configurations.
  • Put the jamb in the opening and use a level to make sure it’s plumb and square.
  • Secure with appropriately sized screws or nails into the wall structural layer.
  • Put some expandable foam in the gaps between the jamb and the wall and let it harden.
  • Paint or veneer the completed cabinet as required to match the other joinery finishes in the premises either domestic or commercial.
