Key Features
- 12″ wide. These extra-wide mouldings are designed for thick walls or for deep door/window openings.
- Exact dimensions for all components of our heat exchangers are specified precisely in the factory documentation in order to simplify the selection process and enable a ready-to-fit heat exchanger to be supplied at the point of use.
- The wide profile gives the frame sturdy support for installing the door leaf.
- Very decorative – Fits fully from frame to wall surface. Gives a uniform and deep look.
- Durable material that won’t warp or deteriorate and will last season after season.
- Used for thick wall openings in residential, commercial and industrial environments.
Applications
- Thick exterior walls (including insulation layers) door/window openings
- Internal walls built with double-layer drywall or light gauge steel stud systems.
- thick wall openings in commercial buildings and industrial facilities of all types.
- Retrofitting to match older, thick wall conditions
- Building entrances requiring wide jamb trim
Installation Tips
- Check the actual wall width before installing – 12″ may be too narrow for some stud configurations.
- Put the jamb in the opening and use a level to make sure it’s plumb and square.
- Secure with appropriately sized screws or nails into the wall structural layer.
- Put some expandable foam in the gaps between the jamb and the wall and let it harden.
- Paint or veneer the completed cabinet as required to match the other joinery finishes in the premises either domestic or commercial.
